Paying from overseas

International e-Transfer isn't available outside Canada, so overseas guests have two straightforward options:

Credit Card

Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted directly — the simplest option for most international guests. The standard 4% processing fee applies, the same as for every card payment.

International Wire Transfer

Available if you'd rather avoid card fees on a larger balance. Once your dates are confirmed, we'll send secure wire instructions directly by email — these aren't published here to protect against fraud. Your own bank may charge its own fee for sending an international transfer.

Frequently asked questions

What's the closest airport?

Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) — about three hours by car to the north via Highway 400 and Highway 11.

Do I need a visa or eTA to enter Canada?

Visitors from the UK, Ireland and most EU countries (including Germany and the Netherlands) arriving by air typically only need an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA); US citizens need a valid passport. Requirements vary by nationality, so check the official Government of Canada site (ircc.canada.ca) before you book flights.

Do I need to rent a car?

Yes — there's no public transit to the property. Most guests rent a car at Pearson (easy to arrange on arrival) or book a private transfer for the roughly three-hour drive.

What time zone are you in?

Eastern Time (UTC−5, or UTC−4 during daylight saving, mid-March to early November).

What currency do I need once I'm here?

Your booking is charged in Canadian dollars. Locally, cards are widely accepted in nearby Sundridge and South River, so you won't need much cash.

What's the electrical setup?

Canada runs on 120V with Type A/B plugs, the same as the US. UK, Irish and European guests will need a plug adapter — most modern electronics (laptops, phone chargers) already handle 120–240V, so a voltage converter usually isn't necessary.

Is there Wi-Fi?

Yes — Starlink satellite internet covers the whole estate.

Does your team speak other languages?

Day-to-day communication is in English. This page is also available in German and Dutch.
